SMC ZXPE5 | Electric vacuum gripper | for FANUC

The SMC ZXPE5 is an integrated electric vacuum gripper that combines vacuum pump, vent valve, pressure sensor, and suction cups in a single 556 g unit.

Designed for plug-and-play installation on FANUC CRX collaborative robots via M8 connector and PNP interface, it eliminates the need for external compressed air.

The unit delivers up to 5 kg payload capacity at −84 kPa with 17 L/min flow rate and provides a maximum gripping force of 5 N.

Three energy-optimizing operating modes, a 360° status display, and built-in diagnostics enable transparent process monitoring and reliable operation in ambient temperatures up to 40 °C.

The gripper offers application flexibility through interchangeable suction cup configurations ranging from Ø 8–32 mm in various shapes and materials, suited for pick-and-place, packaging, palletizing, and gentle handling of flexible, uneven, or delicate surfaces.

Installation is streamlined via the ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 tool flange, which allows fast tool changes using only two clamp screws.

The integrated vacuum generation and leak-reducing design minimize setup time and support stable automated handling.
