The SMC ZNC series is a pneumatic non-contact gripper that uses the Bernoulli principle to handle sensitive workpieces without touching them.
Operating on clean compressed air, it generates lifting force while maintaining a controlled gap between the gripper and the material surface, making it suitable for cloth, films, printed circuit boards, bubble wrap, and air-permeable or perforated parts.
The gripper delivers a maximum gripping force of 65 N depending on size and configuration.
It is available in diameters ranging from 20 mm to 80 mm, with three body material options: aluminum, resin, or stainless steel.
Design features include multiple ports for air supply, pressure sensor connection, or release air, and select variants offer stoppers or vibration-suppression covers to minimize workpiece deflection during handling.
The gripper weighs 0.193 kg and is rated for ambient temperatures up to 80°C.
